Judy B. Smetana, PhD

Principal/Founder, PS [Perfectly Synced] Coaching & Consulting

In her role as coach and consultant, Judy has worked both locally and internationally in providing individual clients and employee groups with executive/personal coaching, with designing/implementing the human resources function, with team building and with staff development and training. Judy has a passion for individual and organizational development. She fulfills this passion by coaching individuals on a variety of issues both professional and personal. Judy also creates workshops, conducts team building exercises, helps small businesses and not-for-profits design or improve their human resources function as well as conducting an assessment to understand organizational culture.

Judy started PS Consulting in 2007, after seventeen years of human resources and organizational development experience. She worked both abroad and in Colorado and has experience working for both for profit and not- for- profit organizations. Judy earned a Ph.D. from Colorado State University in Education and Human Resources Studies focusing on Organizational Performance and Change. She is a certified OTCI administrator, Organizational Team Culture Indicator.

Judy is a member of her local Rotary and serves on her church’s Human Resources committee. She is a recipient of the Foley’s Regional Human Resources Award Spring 1999 and the Association of Professional YMCA Directors Award 2002. She holds memberships in the International Coaching Federation, The Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), Boulder Area Human Resources Association ( BAHRA), and the Academy of Human Resources Development ( AHRD).

Judy is devoted to what she describes as her core issues. These include helping individuals, especially women develop to their full potential, being involved in working for the Colorado Horse Rescue, fostering community by being involved in her church and volunteering as much as she can to help those less fortunate. In her spare time, Judy loves to run, hike, dabble in photography and write. If she isn’t reading up on industry literature Judy enjoys reading both fiction and non- fiction. Judy enjoys traveling and spending quality time with family and friends.
